Pocket Guide to the Lapse / Novel

The Pocket Guide to the Lapse is a setting book for the Dimday Red world, documenting the collapse of society after the cosmic event known as the Lapse. For the design, we focused on building a visual language that matched the book’s dystopian tone—something that felt worn, practical, and grounded in a world heading toward its end.

The layout was designed to support dense lore while staying readable, with clear hierarchy, strong typographic structure, and subtle graphic elements that echo the setting’s decay. The result is a compact guide that feels like a real field reference: informative, gritty, and aligned with the story it describes.
